Mayor Howells to seek re-election

Fountain Mayor Jeri Howells has officially announced she will seek re-election in November.
“It has indeed been my pleasure and honor to serve as Mayor of the great City of Fountain,” she said.

First District 8 board meeting held at new building



Overseeing the District 8 School Board meeting for the first time as superintendent, Cheryl Walker took the helm without difficulty as the school board adjusted to their new chamber at the newly-built Administration Building at 10665 Jimmy Camp Rd.

Program Assistant Jolene Chapman of the Walt Forman Center provided educational items for fire safety, as well as blood pressure checks at a recent school supply distribution fair hosted by the Walt Fortman Center, School District 8, and the Lorraine Community Center.

Nomination petitions now available for D8, Council
The City of Fountain is accepting nominations for three positions on the City Council and the position of Mayor to be placed on the ballot for the regular election to be held on Tuesday, November 6.
