Nomination petitions now available for D8, Council races

The City of Fountain is accepting nominations for three positions on the City Council and the position of Mayor to be placed on the ballot for the regular election to be held on Tuesday, November 6.

At this election one member will be elected for the Ward two position and two councilmembers will be elected for “At Large,” seats. These positions are four-year terms.

The Mayor position is elected At Large and is for a two -year term.

Nomination petitions may be obtained at the City Clerk’s Office 116 S. Main Street, Fountain during regular business hours.

Completed petitions must be submitted to the City Clerk’s Office no later than 5 p.m. on Monday August 27. For more info. call the City Clerk’s office at 322-2000.

In School District Eight, three directors will be elected to four-year terms. Petition forms can be obtained at the new Administration Building, 10665 Jimmy Camp Road. Completed petitions are due in no later than 3:30 p.m. on Thurs., August 23. For more info. see ad on page 5 or call 382-1300.
