BUSINESS
Fountain Valley Animal Clinic is now Fountain Valley Animal Hospital

The Fountain Valley Animal Clinic, 56 Widefield Blvd., is now known as the Fountain Valley Animal Hospital and is now owned by Dr. Sheila Schaffer, a CSU graduate who has 13 years experience.

“As you can see our name has changed but only by one word-we will now be a ‘hospital’ instead of a ‘clinic,’” said Hospital Manager Isabelle Allen. “Even though it’s just a small name change it will have a significant impact on how your pet will be treated.”

Allen said that as a hospital, the business will now be a full-service small animal facility, offering in-house surgery, x-rays, dental and lab work, in addition to the other services that have been provided in the past.

“For those who have been long time loyal clients, we wish to give our assurances that you can continue to expect the same high quality service that you have always received,” Allen said. “In fact, you will find many of the warm, familiar faces still here. Dr. Monica Campos, a CSU graduate with six years experience at Fountain Valley Animal Clinic and Cheyenne Mountain Animal Hospital, will continue seeing patients full time. Rebecca Billings-Quick, a Certified Veterinary Technician, will be overseeing patient care. She has 12 years experience with 10 of those at CMVH.
“Kim Suder-Blair, who has been at FVAC for nine and years, and Patricia Branch, who has been here for two years, will continue to greet and work with you in the usual friendly and proficient manner,” Allen concluded.

There are also some new faces who bring a wealth of veterinary experience to the animal hospital.

New staff members include: Dr. Schaffer, Allen, who is available to assist customers with any non-medical issues, Janice Jones, Customer Care Manager, who greets pet owners at the front desk, and new Veterinary Technicians Karen Winters and Kozelle Peterson who were trained under the late Dr. Rich Hollist.

“We look forward to many years of being able to provide heath care for your pets,” Allen concluded.
