The annual Main Street Blast Dance will be held 6 to 10 p.m., Sat, July 28 on Main St. in front of City Hall in Fountain. The band Powder Keg will play a mix of music guaranteed to get your feet tapping. There will be food and drink for all ages, horse & wagon rides, balloons, face painting and temporary tattoos.
The Fountain Valley Historical Society will have a table of baked goods; pies, cookies, cakes, etc., at the Main Street Blast Dance. Stop by and enjoy some goodies at the dance.
Also, there will be a spaghetti supper sponsored by Fountain Fort Carson Lions Club 5 to 7 p.m., in the basement of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 101 N. Main St. for $5 per plate. All monies raised will be contributed to help pay for eye exams and eyeglasses for disadvantaged local youth as well as many other activities to support the community.
The community is also welcome on Friday, August 3, when the new dog park will open at 10 a.m. at the south end of Metcalfe Park. The Doggie Park was made possible by the City of Fountain Parks Department, the City of Fountain Code Enforcement, Aquila and Cub Scout Pack 238.
