Hot rods of all makes, model and eras, including those shown parked along Main Street in front of the Fountain City Hall plaza brought their own brand of "Thunder in the Valley."

The Thunder in the Valley car show on July 7 featured cool cars and hot temperatures. Kids managed to frolic in the fountain in front of City Hall to stay cool. For the second year, proceeds raised from the event will go to the Fountain Valley’s Dollars for Scholars Scholarship program that supports students from local high schools each spring.

Local resident Wendy Jo DeSmidt-Kolhoff came dressed to the nines with her saddle shoes, poodle skirt and more. She is shown by one of winning cars.
