Leila Cathy Hudgins
July 29, 1959 - July 6, 2008
Leila Cathy Hudgins of Fountain died July 6, 2008 at Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs from Leukemia, bone marrow transplant, Guillaine-Baree Syndrome and Skleroderma.
She was born July 29, 1959 in Rosemarie, Quebec, Canada.
A viewing will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at Putnam Chapel, 325 Putnam Dr., Security. Services will follow at 10:30 a.m.
She is survived by her husband, Michael and many family members. She was the founder, and heart and soul of Gold Tooth Annie’s Restaurant in Fountain.
She will be dearly missed by many and she will be remembered for her beautiful smile and cheerful, caring and generous nature.
John Raymond Templeton (Jack) passed away on June 17, 2008 after a short battle with
Lymphatic Cancer while living with his daughter in Atlanta, GA.
Jack was born to Lester and Effie Templeton on November 16, 1919 in Cripple Creek,
CO. He graduated from Fountain High in 1938. Jack married Mary Lea Duggan, also of
Fountain in 1942.
He served in the US Army during WW2. He was stationed in Deming, NM, Saipan and Iwo
Jima.
Jack is survived by his two sisters, Rose Nelson of Bell Gardens, CA and Noreen
Quinn of Santa Cruz, CA. Three children: Linda Moore and Darla Payne both of
Atlanta, GA. and Jim Templeton of Las Vegas, NV. He also leaves behind three
step-children, 14 grandchildren and numerous great & great-great grandchildren.
Mr. Templeton was cremated in Atlanta GA. A memorial service will be held in
Tucson, AZ. at a later date.
William “Bill” Hanagan went to be with the Lord on July 6, 2008, after a five year battle with cancer. Bill was born November 27, 1946 in La Junta, Colorado. He attended Swink Schools and graduated Swink High School in 1965. He married his high school sweetheart, Carolyn at the La Junta Catholic Church on February 4, 1967. In 1968, they moved to Fountain where Bill went to work for the Civil Service at Fort Carson as a Computer Operator. He worked there for 27 ½ years.
Bill and Carolyn purchased D.A. Enterprises/Sports Hut in 1987 and operated that business in the Fountain Valley for 20 years. Bill loved hunting and fishing but his biggest love and treasure were his five grandchildren, Samantha, Kelcey, Logan, Jace and Harley. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Carolyn; daughter, Wendy Christian and her husband, Carl; son, Ryan Hanagan and his wife Peggy.
He is also survived by his brother, Gary Hanagan and his wife Margaret. There will be a viewing on Wednesday, July 9th from 4-7pm at Dove-Witt Fountain Valley Chapel, 6630 S. Hwy 85/87, Fountain, CO. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, 10am at Fairview Cemetery, Fountain, CO.
Retired Sergeant 1st Class, Charles “Chipp” Lee Fox, long time resident of Security went to be with our Lord July 3, 2008. He was born September 28, 1941. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends.

Peggy I. Perdue of Colorado Springs went into the arms of Our Lord on Saturday, July 5, 2008. She was a member of the Eastern Star for many years and also a local dental assistant until her retirement.
She was born in Mt. Airy, NC on November 10, 1927. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 45 years, Austin Boyd Perdue in December of 2000.
She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Sue Perdue Reese of Charleston, SC; son, Michael Boyd Perdue of Colorado Springs; 4 grandchildren, Tamara Reese Houston of Goose Creek, SC, Kevin Boyd Reese of Charlotte, NC, Tina Perdue Magnuson and Todd Michael Boyd Perdue, both of Colorado Springs; 10 great-grandchildren, Kristen, Ryan, Kayla, Katelyn, Alyssa, Mia, Brandon, Brandyn, Bradyn and Tyler and great-great-granddaughter, Autumn Lynne. Peggy is also survived by brother-in-law, Edd Perdue of Bailey, NC and sister-in-law, Nell Perdue of Mt. Airy, NC.
She loved life and was proud of her extensive family. She will be greatly missed by many friends, family and anyone that ever was touched by her gentle spirit and beautiful smile.
We will all miss her graceful spirit and her Southern lady pride. Funeral services will be held today, 1pm at Dove-Witt Fountain Valley Chapel, 6630 S. Hwy 85/87, Fountain, CO. Interment will take place at Ft. Logan National Cemetery in Denver.
