Lucille I. Thompson

Born Sept. 18, 1915, in Oskaloosa, Missouri, and went to be with our Lord and join her beloved husband, C.L. (Mike) Thompson, on June 25, 2007.
Lucille and Mike were one of the original residents of Widefield, moving into their home on Amherst Street in 1958. She was the original route-mom for the Widefield area for Carl Wiese’s new “Advertiser,” (which this newspaper was formerly known as.)
As a caregiver she was known affectionately by dozens of children as Mama Lu.
Lucille and Mike’s vast network of friends was evident from the non-stop traffic stopping by their home for a cup of coffee. Lucille left her loving mark on lots of children and everybody that came in contact with her. She will truly be missed.
She is survived by her and Mike’s two sons, Kenneth (Mike) Thompson and Cody P. Thompson, his wife Julie, two granddaughters, Michele Thompson (Koch) and husband Justin and Kristi Thompson (McClaughlin) and husband Tony, two grandsons, Nicholas Thompson and Jolinathan Thompson, two great granddaughters, Tonee McClaughlin and Sklyer Koch and one great-grandson, Tysen McClaughlin.
