Jesse B. Johnson
Jesse B. Johnson, 71, a long-time Security resident died June 4, 2007 at a local hospital. He was retired from the U.S. Army.
Johnson was born in Pioneer, TN.

He is survived by his wife, Jonnie Johnson, twodaughters, Sabrina Johnson and Veronica Humphrey; and four grandchildren, Nathan, Harmony, Arielle and Kyle, all of Security.

Memorial services were held with cremation at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver.

Johnson was a beloved husband, father and grandfather.

Betty L. McGowan
June 14, 1931 — June 13, 2007
Betty L. McGowan was born June 14, 1931 in Wallace, West Virginia to Raymer and Martha (Hawkins) Baker.

She married Anthony P. McGowan, Jr. on June 17, 1950 and served her country in the US Army from 1949-1952.

Betty passed away on June 13, 2007 leaving behind her sons, Tony and Tim of Security and Tom of Hudson, CO; daughter-in-law, Nancy; grandson, Justin; her companion and family dog, Jake; sisters, Josephine Smith of New Castle, PA and Estelle Shaw of Flint, MI.

She was preceded by her husband, “Mac” in 1992; brothers, Harold and Joseph Baker; and her sisters Beatrice Kendall, Effie Haldeman, Sylvia Hildreth and Marie Walker.

Visitation was, June 18, at Dove-Witt Family Mortuary, Fountain. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Pikes Peak Hospice, 825 E. Pikes Peak Avenue, Ste. 600, Colorado Springs, CO 80903. Private burial was planned at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
