CHURCH ANNOUNCEMENTS Faith Lutheran holds annual May Social
Faith Lutheran Church will once again host its May Social this Sunday, May 20. This annual event marks the end of the educational year for the Sunday School children, ushers in the summer season, and gives parishioners a chance to socialize.
The event will be immediately following the 9 a.m. worship service, so the fun will begin between 10-10:30 a.m.. There will be a barbeque with hamburger, hotdogs and side dishes. This meal, along with tea and lemonade, is available to all for a free will donation. Shortly after the meal gets started, children’s carnival type games will commence.
“A favorite is always the dunk dank! Additionally, there will be bingo for all ages, a cake walk, face painting and a sundae bar,” a spokesperson said. All events will require the purchase of tickets, available the day of the event.
“If you’ve ever been curious about the little brick church by the fire station, this is a great day to stop by and meet some of the hometown folks who make up our congregation. We’re a small, family-oriented church and the May Social is a terrific time for all ages to share some food and fun.”
All proceeds from the May Social go towards Faith’s Summer Day Camp, a week of fun scheduled August 6-10 this year. Mark your calendars! It’s put on in cooperation with Rainbow Trail Lutheran Camp from Hillside, Colorado. Come on Sunday and find our more!
