OBITUARIES

Linda L. Burden, 60, a resident of Colorado Springs since 1996 passed away May 19, 2008 in Denver. Linda was born in Saginaw, Michigan on March 21, 1948 to Maxwell and Delores (Davis) Golombisky. She worked for many years in Retail Management.

Linda is survived by her father, Maxwell Golombisky; son, Mark ìMarzî Burden and daughter-in-law, Mandi; daughter, Tamarah Berry and son-in-law, Julien Stoutt; sisters, Gail Watts, Penny and Bill Schaard, Gustine Schluckbier, Jody Brandle and Brenda Muladore; brother, John Golombisky; her grandchildren, Ashley Berry, Masae Avilla and Ahmeh Holti and her special sister-in-law, Lucille ìBunnyî Burden and the whole Burden family. She was preceded in death by her mother, Delores.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 22, 2008 from 1-5PM with funeral services at 3PM at Dove-Witt Fountain Valley Chapel, 6630 S. Highway 85/87, Fountain.


A Memorial Service for Barbara Cornish, 82, will be held at the Security Church of the Nazarene, 800 Hackberry Dr., Security, CO on Saturday, May 31, 2008, at 2PM.

Barbara Cornish went to be with her Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ, on April 13,2008. She died at St. Clare's Hospital in Denville, NJ. She is buried with her husband, Arlington Cornish, in Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver. She was a long-time resident of Fountain, CO. She was a school lunch room cook for Widefield School District #3, and a member of Security Church of the Nazarene. She leaves behind two children, John Cornish and Terry Compton, and two grandchildren, Jeremiah and Jessica Cornish. Her Memorial Service will be on Saturday, May 31, 2008 at 2PM at the Security Church of the Nazarene, 800 Hackberry Dr., Security, CO.

 


Earl G. Phillips, 63, a lifelong Colorado Springs resident passed away on May 12, 2008 at his home.  Earl was born on September 26, 1944 in Denver to Dale and Lorene Phillips.  He married Darlene Dewey, who preceded him in death, in 1987.

Earl is survived by his father, Dale Phillips; his brother, Rodger and Rodger’s wife, Judy.  In addition to his wife, Earl was preceded in death by his son, Kurt; his mother, Lorene; and two brothers, Eddie and Harold.

Services will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2008 at 10AM at Dove-Witt Fountain Valley Chapel, 6630 S. Highway 85/87, Fountain.
