Remembering some of the Valleyís finest...
 Our deepest sympathy and prayers are with the Security Fire Protection District and Security Fire Department this week, as they face the loss of three who are dear to them.
Among those being mourned, remembered and honored are Former Fire Chief, long-time Security resident Roy Loesel, who I was fortunate to have met in my early years at this newspaper; and long-time firefighter Kurt Quinones for whom services are planned Thursday to conclude with a funeral procession including the Security Fire Departmentís truck that will carry their fallen brother to his final place of rest. The department is also joining employee Gretchen Wright in mourning the loss of her father.
It takes a special kind of person (and hero) to continually put themselves in harms way to help out their fellow man in times of fire, accidents and emergencies. This week, we remember these fallen heroes and the sacrifices they made for all of us here.
