Julian James Giem
March 2, 2008 - April 9, 2008
Julian James Giem, beloved son of Holly Gillespie and Carl Giem, was born on March 2, 2008. JJ was premature and fought a hard battle for over a month before losing the fight. He passed away on April 6, 2008 in Denver. During his short, young life he taught his family many things; most importantly their capacity for love.
JJ is survived by his Mom and Dad; his sister, Dakota Gillespie; his brother, Aaron Gillespie; and many other family members. Visitation is Wednesday, April 9, 2008 from 3-4 PM at Dove-Witt Family Mortuary, 6630 S. Highway 85/87, Fountain. Memorial services are Monday, April 14, 2008 at 3PM at Dove-Witt Fountain Valley Chapel, 6630 S. Highway 85/87, Fountain. We'll love and miss you always, baby boy.
Security Firefighter laid to rest
Kurt Roy Quinones
October 15, 1959 - April 13, 2008
Kurt Roy Quinones, a cherished and loved father, son, brother, uncle and a friend to many, departed this world peacefully on Sunday, April 13, 2008. Kurt was born in Anchorage, Alaska on October 15, 1959 to Ramon S. and Margarete V. Quinones.
Kurt lived in the Widefield area since 1969 and graduated from Widefield High School in 1978.
With distinction and honor, Kurt served our community as a Fireman for the Security Fire Department since 1982, the brothers and sisters of the Fire Department were without a doubt his second family. He served our country as a member of the United States Army Reserves. He currently was also employed by TCS Communications as a shift supervisor.
Kurt was preceded in death by is father Ramon S. Quinones. He is survived be the greatest joy of his life his daughter Selena, his mother Margarete, brothers Ray, Manny, Ben; sister Maureen Maez, and nieces and nephews.
A viewing will take place at Dove-Witt Funeral Home 6630 S Highway 85/87 on Thursday April 17th at 12:00-2:00 PM. Services will follow at 2:00 PM. Internment will be at Evergreen Cemetery followed by a celebration of his life presented by his family of the Security Fire Department 400 Security Blvd.
