Delphinia Torres
August 7, 1914 - January 26, 2008
Our loving mother left us to be with our Lord, on January 26, 2008.
We wanted to keep her forever but after 93 years, Jesus decided he needed her in heaven to watch over her family.
Delphinia was born August 7, 1914, to Guillermo and Raymunda Maldonado in Trinidad, Colorado.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alex Torres; and five siblings.
Delphinia is survived by one brother, Pete Maldonado; her children, Leroy Torres (and MaryAnn), Isabelle Gutierrez (and Caesar), Norma Trujillo (and Danny) and Randy Torres (and Jeanine); eleven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She adored her loving Pomeranian, Missy.
Delphinia was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who was loved by everyone she met. She touched the lives of all who crossed her path. Her love in life was cooking for her family and friends. The Thursday night family gatherings will especially be missed.
She was devoted to her Lord and Faith. Since the naming of St. Dominic’s Catholic Church, her desire was to present the church with a crucifix of Jesus Christ. Delphinia died peacefully and entrusted her life to God. We will miss her always.
